Padel Tennis hits David Lloyd Bushey

Padel Tennis hits David Lloyd Bushey

Following the successful launch of Padel Tennis at David Lloyd Chigwell in January 2012, new courts have now been opened at David Lloyd Bushey.

The game which is a hybrid of tennis and squash is extremely popular is Spain and South America and is beginning to take off in the UK with the ‘Padel England Association’ aiming to have one million people in the UK playing the game by 2015.

Being an avid tennis player myself and having played Padel recently for the first time I can say that it’s an extremely exciting game that offers players a ‘low impact’ alternative to tennis. It’s easy to pick up yet challenging to master and will appeal to all ages and standards.

As an introduction to the game, LAW Creative was recently asked by David Lloyd Leisure to shoot a product video to demonstrate Padel Tennis to prospective players. The video, which features a number of Spanish professionals (plus a cameo from former England footballer Teddy Sheringham) provides an interesting insight into the how the game is played and the court itself which is a walled environment about a third of a standard tennis court.

The video has been placed on the David Lloyd Leisure brand website and social media channels but if you’ve not seen it yet you can view it above.

LAW Creative, based in Hertfordshire and London offers a full range of video production services including initial concept creation, script writing, production and editing.
