British pride as Apple design hero knighted

As an Industrial Design degree holder I took personal interest in the knighting of Jonathan Ive today at Buckingham Palace. The British born designer,who is Apple’s Senior Vice President, Industrial Design, has brought the world such wonders as the iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad and was once described by Steve Jobs as his “spiritual partner”, according to the late Apple co-founder’s biographer Walter Isaacson.*

Flying the flag for British design, Sir Jonathan Ive has led Apple’s design team since 1996 and has, without doubt, shaped the world as we know it today, helping to revolutionise how we live and communicate. We’re proud here at LAW Creative to live in a country that has produced such a design master.
