Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, says that Article 50 will be triggered in January. Theresa May, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, says that this is only Donald Tusk’s interpretation. The Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, now says that Brexit gives the UK, ‘very large trading opportunities’. And MEP Diane James has just replaced Nigel Farage as leader of UKIP, promising a full throttle departure from the EU.

But, however many years it takes for Brexit to be properly concluded, and, who knows, EU membership may still prove to be an unmovable object, companies both in and out of the EU will be keen to make it business as usual and lose little time in continuing to address the many challenges and opportunities facing the global economy.
