David Who?

Imagine my delight when, as an ex-Dalek Operator for the BBC, I realised that I had been included in the series of correct answers for ‘Actors Who Have Appeared in Dr Who’ in BBC1s National Lottery: Who Dares Wins quiz show on Saturday night.

Imagine my dismay when the two contestants on stage failed to name me, and were only able to recall the names of three complete nobodies by the names of David Tennant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi.

Yes, fame is an elusive and fickle thing but, thanks to my colleague Steve Farrow who was quick on the draw with his iPhone camera on Saturday night and got a shot of my name as it briefly appeared on screen, I was able to enjoy one more fleeting moment of fame.

Right, back to the writing of copy at LAW Creative to make sure that, whenever our clients’ names are mentioned, their audiences never say, ‘Who?’
