LAW meets Cake Boss
Wow, what a talented team of bakers! This week LAW Creative decided to go head to head with Nigella Lawson, Paul Hollywood and the famous Hoboken New Jersey Bakery of reality show Cake Boss for a charity bake off.
When the world of advertising turns up the heat and meets MasterChef you can expect it to get competitive. Strategic planning was in evidence with decorative cake stands, industrial baking trays, rustic breadboards and logo branding. But it’s definitely not all style over substance.
Head judge LAW Creative, Katie Douse was looking for not only presentation but the perfect bake and no soggy bottoms in her deliberation for LAW Cake Boss.
Katie tasted 21 entries ranging from chocolate orange cake with a Caribbean twist; coconut and cherry Florentines; almond and rosewater chequerboard cake; pork, smoky bacon and maple syrup sausage rolls and cheese and onion bread.
All of the money raised will be given to the Hospice of St Francis for their enduring care for patients with a wide range of life threatening illnesses. LAW is now getting back to the less stressful business of creating award winning campaigns for our clients. Which all goes to prove that you can have your cake and eat it!
