Prepare yourself for the thrill of a lifetime and take control of a multi million pound full motion simulator at the British Airways Flight Training School.

The simulator in question is normally reserved for professional pilots and costs £10 million. You can choose the plane that you want to fly (a Boeing 737-400, 757-200 or a 767-300), and then choose the airport you want to land it at; LAX, Sky Harbour or Hong Kong maybe?!  A three hour session will cost somewhere in the region of £1,000 but this is an amazing experience that money can buy!!

Arrive at British Airways Flight Training School, pick up your cup of black coffee and head for the no nonsense pre-flight briefing including flight deck instruments, controls and systems.  It is all totally mind blowing especially as you will be taking the controls for lift-off and landing within the next hour.

Feeling nervous, you should be.  Step into the simulator reminiscent of a Star Wars film set. This is nothing like any video game or simulator that you can possibly imagine.  All of your senses will be engaged to the extent that you will believe that you are responsible for the safety of all on board.  This is as real as it gets.  You’ll even need your passport! There are no mobile phones or video cameras allowed.  This is serious stuff and you will need to be fit and in good health before you are even able to step into the flight deck.

This is one of the most exciting experiences you’ll ever have! Whilst you are on board the captain will do his best to keep you and your passengers safe, during your flight…. But alas, a couple of days after the experience most of what you have learned will have been scrambled in your brain or have just been totally forgotten.

But you will want to go back because it’s just plane crazy!
