So standing out and getting shared is incredibly important. Here are six ways you can increase the likelihood your video will get watched.
- YouTube tools. Start by using the tools in YouTube itself, including tags (keywords) that are relevant.
- Add a call to action. Direct marketers have known for a long time that asking for a response has a huge impact on action. So ask people to rate, share or comment.
- Share your videos with people you know. Start with friends and customers. For example, promote your video via an email newsletter to existing clients or by posting it to your own website.
- Use social networking. Twitter, Facebook, Google+ or LinkedIn are all good sources for promoting your video content.
- Use PR or SEO. Use PR to get your videos to the attention of bloggers or writers who may be interested in them, and build traffic via SEO or keyword support.
